Introduction of Social Development and Research Center (SDRC)
Social Development and Research center (SDRC) is one of the leading organizations in Provincial and Federal Level as it covers 10 districts like Dhanusha, Mahottari, Bara, Parsa, Sirha, Saptari, Sindhuli, Udaypur, Sarlahi and Dang in support of different Donor Agencies/Partners like Plan International Nepal, Fund Board, CARITAS Nepal, PAF, OXFAM, UNICEF, Action Aid, LGCDP, UNDP, BISEP/SNV, FWLD/DFID, Embassy of Australia, ADRA/Gov Nepal, ADB, Domestic and Small Industries Development, IEFS Nepal, Election Commission of Nepal and Nepal Government for different projects like Child Protection, Early Child Development, Nepal Livelihood Resilience, Relief Distribution to Disable, Integrated pesticides Management Program (IPM), Community based disaster management and Risk Reduction Program (CBDP,DRR), Prevention of Human trafficking and unsafe migration, Community based Disaster Preparedness Program, C.B.C.D Program- Community awareness on child welfare and Development, Advocacy on disaster management Program, Community mediation training, Local Governance and community Development Project, Support to Public Land forest development groups, Constituent Assembly and human rights program, Legal Aid and Advocacy program for women, Street drama on local election 2074 BS, Nepal flood response and recovery program- Protection and livelihood security affected from flood since it’s establishment date 1995 AD.
It was established in 1995 by a group of intellectuals, advocates, retired government staff, and social Activists and development professionals. It was registered in the District Administrative Office, Dhanusha and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu.
